Privacy Policy
Effective Date: November 5, 2026. Last Updated: November 6, 2026.
This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) explains the information collection, use, and sharing practices of Never Zero Lab SL (“we,” “us,” and “our”) for the Bitcoin Price - BTC Ticker & Crypto Tracker extension for Google Chrome (the “Extension”) and its website at bitcoin-price.extensions-neverzerolab.com, including the Welcome Page (the “Site”). Together, the Extension and the Site are our “Services.”
Before you use the Services, please carefully review this Privacy Policy. By using any part of the Services, you understand that your information will be handled as outlined in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to this Privacy Policy, please do not use our Services.
The short version
- No account, no sign-up, no ads. We do not sell your data.
- Your settings, watchlist and price alerts stay in your Chrome browser. We never receive them.
- To show prices, the Extension asks public market data providers for them directly. Like any website, they see your IP address.
- The Extension cannot read the websites you visit or your browsing history.
- Prices may be delayed or inaccurate. Nothing in the Extension is financial advice.
Our Principles
Never Zero Lab SL has designed this policy to be consistent with the following principles:
- Privacy policies should be human readable and easy to find.
- Data collection, storage, and processing should be simplified as much as possible to enhance security, ensure consistency, and make the practices easy for users to understand.
- Data practices should meet the reasonable expectations of users.
Information the Extension Stores in Your Browser
The Extension has no server of its own and does not send us what it stores. It keeps data only in Chrome’s extension storage on your computer:
Settings, watchlist and price alerts (chrome.storage.sync)
Your currency, the coin shown in the window and on the toolbar badge, the badge options, how often the price updates, the theme, the “rising price is red” option, the chart period, whether price alerts are on, the coin and amount last used in the converter, your watchlist (up to 30 coins) and your price alerts (coin, currency, condition, target value, one-time or repeating). If Chrome sync is turned on, Chrome copies this data to your other computers through your Google Account, under Google’s privacy policy. We have no access to it.
Market data cache (chrome.storage.local)
Recently loaded prices, charts, top coins and coin search results, so the Extension window opens instantly and keeps working when a provider is briefly unavailable. Each cached item is refreshed or deleted within 24 hours. The Extension also keeps the names, symbols, ranks and logo addresses of coins you have viewed (up to 400), for the badge tooltip, alerts and offline lists. If usage statistics are enabled (see “Optional Usage Statistics” below), a random install identifier is stored here too.
Temporary data (chrome.storage.session)
Short pauses (“cooldowns”) for a data provider that failed or limited requests, so the Extension does not overload it. Chrome deletes this data when the browser closes.
At installation, the Extension reads your browser’s language once to choose your default currency (for example, euros for German). This happens in your browser and nothing is sent. When you click a price or “Copy result,” the Extension writes that value to your clipboard; it never reads your clipboard. Removing the Extension deletes the data it stored on that computer.
Information Sent to Market Data Providers
To show prices, charts and coin information, the Extension requests public market data directly from these providers:
- CoinGecko (
api.coingecko.com, and CoinGecko’s image server for coin logos): prices, market data, charts up to one year, top coins and coin search. The text you type into coin search is sent to CoinGecko’s search. - Kraken (
api.kraken.com, andws.kraken.comfor the live price, connected only while the Extension window is open): exchange prices and charts. - mempool.space (
mempool.space): the Bitcoin price. - blockchain.com (
blockchain.infoandapi.blockchain.info): the Bitcoin price and the all-time Bitcoin chart.
These requests contain only coin identifiers (for example, the coins on your watchlist or with alerts), currency codes and, for coin search, the text you typed. They are sent without cookies and without any identifier of you or your device. As with any website you visit, each provider receives your IP address and your browser’s user agent and handles them under its own privacy policy. We do not receive this data.
Permissions
- storage – saves your settings, watchlist and alerts, and caches market data, as described above.
- alarms – updates the price on the toolbar icon and checks your alerts on the schedule you choose (every 1, 2, 5, 10 or 30 minutes).
- notifications (optional) – shows the price alerts you create. Chrome asks for it only when you create your first alert. You can turn price alerts off in the Extension’s settings at any time.
The Extension has no host permissions and no content scripts. It cannot read or change the websites you visit, and it has no access to your browsing history, tabs, passwords or other browser data.
The Welcome Page
After installation, the Extension opens the Welcome Page (bitcoin-price.extensions-neverzerolab.com/welcome/) once, to show how to pin and use it. Its address contains two parameters: pinned (1 or 0, whether the Extension’s icon is on your toolbar) and the Extension’s id (the same for every user of the Chrome Web Store version). While the page is open and visible, it asks the Extension every 1.5 seconds whether its icon is pinned (the message getPinState), and the Extension answers only “yes” or “no.” Only pages of bitcoin-price.extensions-neverzerolab.com can send this message. If the Site cannot be reached, a copy of the page inside the Extension opens instead.
The Welcome Page is available in English, German, French, Spanish, Italian and Russian. Your browser picks the language from its own language settings, and English is used when none of them matches. If you choose another language in the menu at the bottom of the page, the choice is added to the page address as lang. All of this happens in your browser: the language is not sent to us and not stored.
The Site’s pages set no cookies, run no analytics and load nothing from other websites. It is hosted on Cloudflare Pages: like any web host, Cloudflare, Inc. processes technical data such as your IP address to deliver the pages and protect them from abuse.
Optional Usage Statistics
Usage statistics are turned off unless they are enabled in the version of the Extension published in the Chrome Web Store. When enabled, the Extension sends two events to Google Analytics 4: open_popup (the Extension window was opened) and create_alert (a price alert was created). Each event carries only its name, a random install identifier created by the Extension and a session number. It contains no prices, coins, alert values, settings or browsing data, and the identifier is not linked to your name, email address or Google Account. Google receives each request together with your IP address and handles it under its own privacy policy. Removing the Extension deletes the identifier.
How We Use Information
We use information only to provide the Services: to show prices, charts and coin information, to update the toolbar badge, to check and show your price alerts, to show the Welcome Page in the right mode and, if usage statistics are enabled, to understand in aggregate how often the Extension window is opened and alerts are created. Our use of information complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
We do not sell your data, we do not show ads, and we do not use or transfer data for advertising, for credit or lending decisions, or to data brokers.
When We Disclose Your Information
We hold very little information about you, and we may disclose it only under the following circumstances:
Service Providers
Cloudflare, Inc. hosts the Site, and Google receives usage statistics if they are enabled. The market data providers listed above receive requests directly from your browser, not from us.
Legal Compliance and Protection of Never Zero Lab SL and Others
We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or on a good faith belief that such disclosure is reasonably necessary to comply with legal process, to enforce this Privacy Policy, or to protect the rights, property, or personal safety of Never Zero Lab SL, our users, and the public.
Business Transfers
If we engage in a business transaction, such as the transfer or sale of our assets, information we hold may be transferred as part of that transaction, and it will remain subject to this Privacy Policy.
Legal Basis for Processing Personal Data
The laws in some jurisdictions require companies to tell you about the legal ground they rely on to use or disclose information that can be directly linked to or used to identify you. To the extent those laws apply, our legal grounds are as follows:
To Honor Our Contractual Commitments to You
Requests to market data providers and the Welcome Page are needed to provide the Extension you installed.
Legitimate Interests
Keeping the Services working and secure, protecting them from abuse and, if usage statistics are enabled, understanding in aggregate how the Extension is used. These interests are not overridden by your interests or fundamental rights and freedoms.
Legal Compliance
We may need to use and disclose information in certain ways to comply with our legal obligations.
Your Choices and Data Subject Rights
- You can change or delete your settings, watchlist and alerts in the Extension at any time.
- You can turn price alerts off in the Extension’s settings, or remove the Extension at
chrome://extensions; removing it deletes the data it stored on that computer. - If you use Chrome sync, you can manage synced data in your Google Account.
EU Data Subject Rights
Individuals in the European Economic Area (“EEA”) and other jurisdictions have certain legal rights (subject to applicable exceptions and limitations) to obtain confirmation of whether we hold certain information about them, to access such information, and to obtain its correction or deletion in appropriate circumstances. You may have the right to object to our handling of your information, restrict our processing of your information, and to withdraw any consent you have provided. To exercise these rights, please email us at neverzero.ext1@gmail.com with the nature of your request. You also have the right to go directly to the relevant supervisory or legal authority, but we encourage you to contact us so that we may resolve your concerns directly as best and as promptly as we can.
Market Data and No Financial Advice
Prices, charts and other market data come from third-party providers, including CoinGecko, Kraken, mempool.space and blockchain.com. They may be delayed, incomplete or inaccurate. These providers, including CoinGecko, are not liable for the data or for any decision you make based on it. Price alerts are checked only while Chrome is running, at the interval you choose, so an alert can arrive late or, if the price moves back quickly, not at all.
Bitcoin Price is not a wallet or an exchange: it does not hold, send or trade any funds. Nothing in the Extension or on the Site is financial, investment or trading advice.
International Transfers
The data providers and service providers named in this Policy may process information, such as your IP address, in countries other than your country of residence, which may not offer the same level of protection as the privacy laws of your jurisdiction. Where we share information with service providers outside the EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards required by applicable data protection law.
Security Measures
All requests made by the Extension and the Site use encrypted connections (HTTPS and secure WebSockets). The Extension loads no code from the internet and keeps your data in Chrome’s own storage. However, no Internet transmission or storage can be completely secure, and we cannot guarantee that these measures will prevent every unauthorized attempt to access your information.
Children
The Services are intended for users over the age of 18 and are not directed at children under the age of 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal information (as defined by the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act) from children under the age of 13, or personal data (as defined by the EU GDPR) from children under the age of 16, we will take reasonable steps to delete it as soon as practicable.
Data Retention
Data in your browser is kept until you change or delete it, or remove the Extension; cached market data is refreshed or deleted within 24 hours, and temporary data is deleted when Chrome closes. If usage statistics are enabled, Google Analytics keeps event data for the retention period set in our account. Market data providers and Cloudflare keep technical data under their own policies.
Third-Party Links and Services
The Extension contains links to CoinGecko, to the Extension’s reviews in the Chrome Web Store and to this Privacy Policy; they open in a new tab only when you click them. Never Zero Lab SL is not responsible for the content or privacy practices of third-party websites or services. We encourage you to read the privacy statements of each site you visit.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
We will continue to evaluate this Privacy Policy as we update and expand our Services, and we may make changes to the Privacy Policy accordingly. We will post any changes here and revise the date last updated above. If we make material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will provide you with notice as required by law.
